Abstract: In this paper, the erosive effect of micro-powder on surface by experiments is researched. Three groups of experiments in EDM, Si powder mixed EDM and Al powder mixed EDM are carried out, the main machining parameters is made by orthogonal experimental design. The effect of these parameters on the surface quality is discovered by ANOVA. Causes are finally discussed from the function of suspended powders.
