Abstract: Many knowledge management activities occur in working places and in our daily activities. On such occasions, mobile devices are tools to connect people with knowledge bases. In the mobile scenarios, the important knowledge management issue is how to quickly find and acquire the right knowledge using handheld mobile devices. More importantly, the acquired knowledge should be delivered in a format easily understood by mobile users under strict time limits. However, many important and specific issues of mobile knowledge management have not been carefully investigated until recently. To better serve people's increasing knowledge requirements in daily activities, this paper discusses and investigates the issues and opportunities of using mobile devices to facilitate knowledge management.
