International Journal of Nuclear Energy Science and Technology (IJNEST), Vol. 3, No. 2, 2007

Abstract: The object of this paper is to present the 'Integrated Information System for Supporting the Inventory Control of Radioactive Waste' – SICORR. The SICORR model considers the following items: the radioactive waste control inventory, encompassing the treatment and integration of the radioactive waste and the radionuclide data and processes; the installations that produce, use, transport or store data on radiation sources; and the CNEN Institutes responsible for the radioactive waste management data. The SICORR specification and the analysis results are registered in the documents Software Specification Proposal (PESw) and Software Requirements Specification (ERSw), which are presented as diagrams and user interfaces. Cases of application have been introduced in the SICORR context diagram. The user interfaces for each application case have been detailed, defining the graphical layout, the description of relationships with other interfaces, the interface details' properties, the commands and the product entrances and exits.
