Abstract: This paper discusses the impact of the entrepreneurial ecosystem on the entrepreneurial mindset of small business owners in Kuwait. This paper discusses the relationship between entrepreneurial ecosystem pillars and entrepreneurial mindset. A partial least squares (PLS) structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyse and test the hypothesised research model. The obtained data revealed that ecosystem dimensions play an important part in the entrepreneurial mindset, namely, government policies, financing opportunities, and cultural factors as strong predictors of the entrepreneurial mindset. Our findings suggest that not every program can benefit and boost entrepreneurial initiatives unless it provides some usefulness and support to entrepreneurial activities. On the contrary, well-designed programs driven by entrepreneurial needs analysis can produce more positive perceived benefits for the entrepreneurial mindset. This study is one of the first to analyse the ecosystem environment and its impact on the entrepreneurial mindset in an emerging market, specifically in the Kuwaiti context.
