Equity trajectory in cultural organisations: case of a French national theatre
by Robert Fouchet, Olivier Keramidas
International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management (IJPSPM), Vol. 1, No. 1, 2007

Abstract: This paper shows, through a review of literature on equity and cultural management in organisations, and a qualitative methodology, which are the main key factors which characterise access to the culture. We wanted to test the model developed in the theory of equity trajectories. The results show that one speaks indeed about equity in access to the French culture, but in a singular approach. This study, thus, shows that one cannot prove an unspecified implication of decisions in distributive logics of justice. All things considered, culture is offered for all, but it is not managed by wills of social redistributions.
