Abstract: In the current era, data on study variable is rarely available that leads us to utilise the auxiliary variable for the stratification purpose. In this investigation, we developed a methodology under super population model for finding optimum strata boundaries (OSBs) on highly related variable and variable under consideration which is applicable for the situation having more than one study variables. Under some assumption, we got equations while minimising the general variance that for the complex nature of the study. Under this complex nature, we utilised the dynamic programming technique to find the OSB for different frequency distributions for the auxiliary variable. The empirical study has shown remarkable gain in the precision by using different distribution functions.
