Abstract: We consider the method for assessing the probabilistic characteristics of the reliability of structurally complex electric power systems of large dimensions, formalised in the form of n-poles, based on the mathematical apparatus of the probabilistic-algebraic simulation, which provides the calculation of the reliability of electric power systems operating under the influence of random factors. The results of testing the software that is used to assess the reliability of a fragment of the electric power system are presented in the paper.
