Abstract: Powder is a significant raw material in the industrial production. Considering the importance of mixing process in the powder industry, the parameters of the vertical biaxial bladed mixer include rotating revolutions of mixer, rotational speed, rising velocity of outer mould and position of starting stirring were chosen as orthogonal experimental factors and a series of orthogonal texts were carried out. A system error was verified as the installation angle of blade. Then, discrete element method simulations were carried out to verify the correctness of the analysis of system error and contrast experiments indicated the optimised structure would make the weight of four bricks closer and have stronger self-regulation ability than the original structure. Finally, a set of optimisation parameters was proposed as an effective combination to improve the uniformity of the mixing and distributing system.
