Abstract: There has been an increase in utilisation of big data insights for patient diagnosis and treatment plans in the medical profession. This paper focuses on precision medicine which is beneficial to medical practitioners, academicians, and the public. Since the focus has been evaluation of limits, the paper describes the amalgamation of clinical, biomarker and genetic data developed for deeper understanding of the disease. Data dynamics with a focus on ownership and emergent biases is explored along with the transparency and explainability issues arising from advanced computational techniques. Some of the challenges faced are addressed.
