Abstract: The pandemic has strained the global economy. Dubai does not differ. The retail food industry is affected by the pandemic. Similar to the 2008 financial crisis, which was caused by deregulation in the financial industry, the global economic slowdown is felt almost everywhere. The current pandemic is having a similar negative impact on the food retail industry. Almost all major retail industries experience a decline in demand. Because of this, consumer behaviour has shifted toward online shopping. The digital wave is expected to accelerate this expansion, creating opportunities for customer-focused businesses and operating models. All industry experts are watching how the overall development dynamics in Dubai retail and the installation of taxes are changing how the industry plans to ride the wave of the digital revolution. Digital is a combination of resources that provides content to users so they can make better decisions. The paper also discusses how Dubai's food retailers had to adopt digital technology to meet consumer demands. Digital disruption in Dubai's food industry has affected multiple stakeholders. Internal and external stakeholders have been affected by digital transformation.
