Strategy in practice: applying blockchain to strategic implementation

Abstract: Strategy development and implementation is the key to an organisation's success in today's competitive marketplace. Many organisations develop excellent strategy but are unable to implement this strategy in order to succeed. Strategy implementation happens through projects and having a project management method that provides certainty and agility will help an organisation become more competitive in implementing strategy. This paper attempts to develop a hybrid project management method that attempts to assist organisations improve strategy implementation. In addition, this study applies blockchain techniques to manage strategic implementation and project delivery, as a result providing a near real-time tracking of a company's strategy and strategic outcomes.
