Abstract: In order to improve the power fluctuation suppression efficiency of a power system, a power fluctuation suppression method of medium voltage distribution system based on time-frequency filtering is proposed in this paper. Firstly, Fourier transform is used to convert the signal between time domain and frequency domain. Secondly, the signal features are discretised by Gaussian kernel function to realise signal filtering. Then, the power fluctuation characteristics of medium voltage distribution system are obtained by two-dimensional Fourier transform of fuzzy function. Finally, the proportional integral is introduced to construct the open-loop transfer function to adjust the system power fluctuation and suppress the power fluctuation of medium voltage distribution system. The experimental results show that this method can improve the efficiency of power fluctuation suppression. The maximum peak to average power ratio of medium voltage distribution system is 9.1%, and the power fluctuation suppression time of distribution system is 22 ms.
