Abstract: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of leadership behaviours on employees' satisfaction and productivity, examining the relationship between job satisfaction and socio-demographic data. Being analytical and comparative, the study addresses four behaviours of leadership development, which are communication, coaching, delegation, training and development. It also holds a comparison between the employees' perception towards leadership behaviours, nurses' satisfaction and productivity in both governmental and private hospitals. Collaborating with 96 registered nurses in medical and surgical departments, data was collected from a survey of a standardised questionnaire. The results indicate that there is a direct relationship between superiors' leadership to their productivity, as well to the nurses' satisfaction. Therefore, setting patients' safety as a top priority and in order to motivate the employees on a continuous basis, leaders and staff should always collaborate with each other for a better performance quality.
