Abstract: Cam processing is a key component required by many industries such as automobiles, internal combustion engines and national defence. This paper takes cam CNC grinding processing as the research object, takes the optimisation and intelligence of the machining process as the goal, and uses virtual numerical control technology to develop process intelligence optimisation and CNC machining software platform specifically for cam CNC grinding processing. This article mainly focuses on the modelling of the motion process of the CNC machining system, the architecture of the cam CNC machining intelligent platform software and the virtual CNC machining simulation of the machining system. Simulation experiment results show that with the support of the database, the software platform can realise the intelligent optimisation of the cam grinding process plan and the automatic programming of CNC machining.
