Impacts of wind and anti-predator behaviour on predator-prey dynamics: a modelling study

Abstract: In this paper, a predator-prey interaction model of anti-predator behaviour and wind effects has been developed. It is assumed that in the absence of predator prey grow logistically. It is also assumed that the prey shows antipredator behaviour (group defence) against their predator. To analyse our proposed model, the impacts of wind direction have been incorporated. It is considered that due to wind effect the density of predator decrease. Next, we have studied boundedness of all solution of the system and then all possible equilibrium points are determined. The local stability of our proposed system has been analysed around these equilibrium points. Hopf bifurcation of the system has been investigated with respect to the anti-predator behaviour (η), wind effects (α) and inverse inhibitory effect of predator (b1). It is found that the effects of wind direction and anti-predator behaviour of prey can be stabilised our proposed system.
