International Journal of Materials and Product Technology (IJMPT), Vol. 15, No. 3/4/5, 2000

Abstract: Mo2FeB2-Fe (up to 35 vol%) cermets were prepared by two different routes the elemental powder and the MoB powder route. The sinterings were carried out in the temperature range 1250-1350°C in vacuum (10-5 MPa) for 1 hour. The results confirm reactive liquid phase sintering process for the evolution of such cermets. Densification, mechanical and magnetic behaviour of such cermets are also studied.
