Abstract: Sustainability problems are getting more and more critical and increasingly threatening human life day by day. Software, which is developing rapidly and entering into every aspect of our lives, is one of the most fundamental components of the technological society. The widespread use of software applications and limited natural resources has led researchers to focus on research that will ensure sustainability in the software development process. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire study concerning the sustainability factors that affect the software development process. Then the effect of these factors and the level of education, age, and experience of the people involved in the software development process on the software performance were investigated. As a result, it has been determined that the factors affecting the software development process in terms of sustainability and the descriptive attributes of the individual have an effect on software performance.
