Abstract: The control of DC-AC converters with output LC filter has a special importance in applications intended for electric vehicles. However, the controller design becomes more complicated. This paper proposes a model predictive control (MPC) of DC-AC power converter for electric vehicles applications. The control objective is to regulate the output voltage of a three-phase inverter with output LC filter to its desired constant values. Once the control law is elaborated, several simulations are performed using MATLAB/Simulink tools and the results show that the output voltages perfectly track its references. Experimental results are also given, which show the effectiveness of the model predictive controller.
