Abstract: In order to overcome the problems of large errors and lengthy time taken in traditional English teaching efficiency evaluation methods, a data mining-based English teaching efficiency evaluation method is proposed. This paper introduces the application of DEA in the evaluation of English teaching efficiency. Combining the decision-making unit of DEA with data mining, it cleans, supplements and repairs the acquired teaching data, and completes the mining of the characteristic data of English teaching efficiency evaluation. By way of questionnaire survey, we get the evaluation data of English teaching efficiency of college students and teachers, divide the obtained data into index dimensions, and further test the reliability of the proposed evaluation method of English teaching efficiency based on data mining through the reliability index. The experimental results show that the error of the proposed method is small, and the evaluation time is only 38 minutes.
