Abstract: Contact lens dispensers play a significant role in wearers' decision of choosing vision correction devices like contact lenses. This study aims to identify the factors of contact lens denial in the contact lens dispensers' perception about wearers' perspective and explore the relationship between dispensers' 'work experience' and 'role in the optical store' with factors of contact lens denial. A questionnaire was constructed and distributed among contact lens dispensers. Cost, care, and maintenance of contact lenses, fear of worsening the vision, interest in the spectacle, fear of contact lens side effects, and handling issues were identified as major reasons for contact lens denial. Among all 'fear of contact lens side effects' was found most widely accepted barrier in contact lens acceptance. The study identifies the relationship between various characteristics of contact lens dispensers and factors of contact lens denial.
