Readiness in implementation of green neighbourhood initiatives in urban living: a study among Subang Jaya residents

Abstract: Green neighbourhood is a neighbourhood that practices a way of life to meet the needs of people's activities. Conflicts between rapid development and local communities required a new paradigm to understand about the relationships between green neighbourhood initiatives from communities. The objectives of this paper are to study the readiness among residents in Subang Jaya in implementing and adopting green neighbourhood initiatives concept in their area. The respondents have been limited to the residents and residents' association only. Sample of respondents for pilot study is the set of 50 respondents from 400 respondents in Subang Jaya Municipal Council area. Quantitative methodology has been chosen to collect the best possible data for identifying the objectives of this study. The results from this research to collect data of community readiness and best opinion for creating solutions and framework for implementing green neighbourhood initiatives in urban living.
