Abstract: This paper presents a TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese for interactive and multicriteria decision making) method to solve multicriteria group decision making problems under possibilistic uncertainty using a Pythagorean fuzzy similarity measure. At first, the weighted Hamming distance and Hausdörff distance for two Pythagorean fuzzy sets are defined. A new Pythagorean fuzzy similarity measure based on combination of the weighted Hamming distance and Hausdörff metric are proposed to measure the relative degree of dominance between the alternatives in the TODIM context. Then, overall values of the alternatives corresponding to each decision maker are evaluated using the TODIM technique. Finally, generalised mean aggregation operator is used to calculate final decision value for identifying the best alternative. A numerical example is considered and solved to establish the usefulness of the proposed method and the achieved solutions are compared with the existing methods in a Pythagorean fuzzy context.
