Abstract: This paper shows the first findings of a research project that tries to help local supply-base to integrate the global automotive supply chains. With a holistic framework it analyses the new organisational patterns in the Mexican automotive industry value chain. In particular the evolution towards greater relational interdependency between automotive actors. This research project, in partnership with assemblers, suppliers and local authorities, tries to organise a set of key performance indicators specific to the local cluster. In fact, the project seeks to improve the dynamic competitive advantages and to integrate strategies to provide greatest local value.
