Abstract: In this paper, an intelligent technique is proposed to control the three-phase QZS-CMI-based grid-tie PV power system. The proposed system can achieve the constant DC-link peak voltage control, distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT), and grid-tie power control with reduced harmonics. The proposed technique is the modified firefly algorithm (FA) among particle swarm optimisation (PSO) algorithm. The input of the proposed algorithm is the actual and desired PV voltage which is used to analyse the each module's by means of PV power, DC-link voltage, and grid-injected power with unity power factor. The intention of the task is to reduce the deviation of PV panel voltage for to engender their equivalent current and pulses. The PSO algorithm is utilised to improve the performance of FA which is based on their randomised factor. Therefore, the optimal results are accomplished for to enhancing the performance of QZ-CMI. The main objective of the paper is described the total PV panel voltage control and grid-tie current control by using proposed technique. The proposed technique is implemented in MATLAB/Simulink platform and their performances are contrasted by means of the existing methods such as PSO and base controller.
