Abstract: Aluminium alloy is the most potential lightweight material, which has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, automobile, high-speed rail and so on. Advanced forming and performance strengthening methods of complex thin-walled aluminium alloy components have been the focus of the international research. In this paper, latest research progress in the field of forming and performance strengthening of aluminium alloy sheets and components is reviewed, including isothermal tensile deformation behaviour, constitutive equations, processing maps, friction and wear behaviour at high temperature, and the mould and equipment for forming aluminium alloy sheet are also reviewed. Then the technical difficulties and development trend of aluminium alloy forming manufacturing are discussed.
