Abstract: The private sector is playing an essential part and a vital role in the overall development of a country. Job satisfaction can ensure productivity and it is the output of effective HRM. With the inception of Generation Y (Gen Y) all over the world private sectors are facing immense challenges due to a lack of job satisfaction. Studies on job satisfaction remain scarce in developing countries. All the organisations desire to have the best output and higher job satisfaction among employees. Although past literature has predicted that an ethical climate can uplift the issues on job satisfaction, in this study context the ethical climate is found to be insignificant in the case of Gen Y job satisfaction. However, the mediating relationship of stress reduction between an ethical climate and job satisfaction is found to be positively significant for Gen Y in the private sector in the context of developing countries.
