Abstract: All organisations over the world are going to consider environmental management more than before and they are under pressure to adopt green practices throughout their decisions. So far, there has not been any research on greenness evaluation in hotels using fuzzy MCDM. This research has aimed to evaluate greenness in Iranian hotels. One of the most effective decision making techniques, the fuzzy PROMETHEE, was employed to compare hotels. Fuzzy sets were used to get rid of uncertainties in the evaluation process and improve it. Consequently, the proposed framework can be replicated for other service industries that are useful for top managers, economic policy formulators and travellers.
