Abstract: It is an urgent task for China to deepen air pollution control and build an economic, safe and clean energy supply system. Compared with traditional coal-fired heating, electric heating has the advantages of high thermal efficiency, safety and reliability, flexible operation and so on. In addition, electric heating is zero emission and does not produce dust, waste gas, etc. China is vigorously advocating electric heating. The combination of electric heating project and wind power generation in non-peak hours at night can improve the proportion of clean energy, reduce the peak valley load difference of power grid and improve the utilisation rate of power generation equipment. This paper introduces the first centralised demonstration project of coal to electricity in national power grid, and expounds the implementation scheme, effect and supporting policies of the project, so as to provide reference for project construction and air pollution control in the future.
