Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of training on the performance of entrepreneurs in operating their e-commerce businesses in Malaysia. Quantitative data was collected on the performance of entrepreneurs who attended training programs in Malaysia and analysed using structural equation modelling. The results showed that training had a significant impact on the performance of e-commerce entrepreneurs. This paper provides useful information for online entrepreneurs, as well as for academics who are interested in entrepreneurship teaching and learning. The paper provides a basis to explain the relationship between training and performance of entrepreneurs in a developing country through human capital theory.
