Abstract: As one of the trends in the development of science and technology, artificial intelligence has been widely used in all walks of life, especially the education industry. Aiming at the problem of image processing in the field of artificial intelligence, this article applies the experimental teaching method of artificial intelligence course, introduces the licence plate recognition experiment based on digital images, extracts the edge contour of the licence plate, uses convolutional neural network to train the licence plate data set and predicts the licence plate number, to solve specific image processing problems. Through experimental teaching, students will have a better understanding of image processing technology. Through familiarity with the licence plate recognition process and independent programming, the students' innovation ability can be cultivated and the comprehension quality of the students can be improved.
