Abstract: This article reflects upon an experimental research-based approach to examine collaboration within social entrepreneurial biotechnology in a particular setting, that of Mexico's university sector. The impact of entrepreneurial collaboration to biotechnology can be considered as a vital element for sustainability in growth in a wide range of geographical jurisdictions. In this respect, the article explores, even at an initial stage, the development of entrepreneurial collaboration regarding biotechnology operations in Monterrey, Mexico. Therein the role of the regional university, Tecnologico de Monterrey is analysed and emphasised. Methodology-wise it relies upon observations and initial semi-structured interviews that can constitute the basis for further research expansion. The results are really encouraging as the day biotechnology will contribute substantially to the sustainable growth of Monterrey and the region of Nuevo Leon should be regarded as arriving shortly. To this extent, support to Covid-19 pandemic vaccination programmes is accurately speculated.
