Abstract: At the present scenario in the educational institutions the unnecessary consumption of electricity is observed at higher rates. This increase of consumption is reflected in an increase in the cost of electric power. So, an efficient system is to be proposed such that this system activates the consumption of power whenever there is a need. The electrical appliances switched on once the first person enters the room and it is switched off while the last person leaves. This process later can be implemented by using internet of things (IOT). Later this automation can be implemented by using internet of things (IoT). So, this proposed concept is used to save the energy in educational buildings. In the future, it can develop to incorporate the system to many universities and software sectors to save and control the energy.
