Abstract: The aim of the paper is to examine the scope, existing content and create new knowledge in the area of workplace spirituality. It is a secondary research based on published papers from refereed journals. A total of 109 research papers were studied with 15 doctoral dissertations of PhD students across leading universities. A content analysis of these articles was conducted. The inclusion of workplace spirituality in the organisation culture can have a substantial impact on employee performance and organisation citizenship behaviour. Workplace spirituality will lead to increased productivity and reduced absenteeism and turnover as per published research but needs to be studied in emerging markets like India. Empirical results overall support that a positive relationship exists between workplace spirituality and organisational citizen behaviour however there is a paucity of research explaining the impact of organisational citizenship behaviour on job performance with workplace spirituality being a moderating variable.
