Abstract: Total Quality Management (TQM) approaches to continuous improvement are considered successful and widely implemented in higher education in advanced countries. In this research we aim to explore the existing situation of business schools, identify the bottlenecks and investigate the possible remedy measures for the employment of TQM. The study analyses the case of Pakistan taking the institutes of Lahore as study sample. We selected the hundred (100) respondents for interviews using stratified random sampling technique. Interviewees were selected from various hierarchies working in different capacities and response rate is 60%, which is finally taken for analysis. Eight management schools were surveyed from Lahore through specifically constructed research instrument of 18 variables. The findings of research may help the management of business schools to design appropriate strategies to develop the TQM culture, redefine their preferences and reallocate the resources of their institutes.
