Abstract: The proposed system is modelled in Cycle-Tempo software where R22 and NH3-H2O mixture are used as working fluid of the existing and proposed automobile's AC system, respectively. The proposed system can produce about 2.12 kW of electric power which improves the COP from 2.453 to 2.823 and reduces CO2 emissions by about 4.42 kg/day. Ammonia mass fraction of about 0.9094 is an optimum value that yields maximum energy and exergy efficiencies of about 4.38% and 15.27%, respectively. The capital cost of the proposed system is about USD11,870.70.
