Abstract: The interest in (re)signifying concepts common to theories that debate organisations represents the objective for which this essay was developed. In order to ensure coherence and depth to the debate, it was decided to discuss the (re)significations of the concepts of man, organisation and society. The domination symbolism, the centrality in relations and the distrust of historical objectivity, as well as other attributes of the Bourdieusian sociology, served the interest of (re)signifying the concepts of man, organisation and society for organisation studies. Through the Bourdieusian sociology, a (re)signification of man, organisation and society to organisation studies is proposed: the concept of agent (re)signifies the man; the concept of region (re)signifies the organisation; and, the concept of a set of bodies (re)signifies the society.
