International Journal of Heavy Vehicle Systems (IJHVS), Vol. 14, No. 1, 2007

Abstract: The authors propose a study which consists of monitoring the dynamic behaviour of an urban bus regarding passenger comfort at different periods of time from the earliest phases in the manufacturing process and during its life cycle under normal operational conditions. The subject is divided into two related papers; in this part, the study will focus on the comparison of the first two phases, before the beginning of the regular period of use of the bus. Results showed that initial stages of structure manufacturing influence, considerably, the dynamics of the final product.
