Abstract: Cognitive radio framework (CRF) has an endless number of possibilities. Routing, secondary user selection, and path optimisation is a part of the CRF. The routing part involves route discovery mechanism and route establishment. There are several cases when the packet frame has to wait at the transmitter end due to unavailability of the other transmitting node. This paper focuses on the development of a secure routing and secondary node selection in case of distortion in CRF. The proposed algorithm utilises machine learning (ML) for secondary user selection and to find the distortion in the CRF. The evaluation has been done on the base of throughput and energy consumed in order to transfer the data from one end to another.
