Abstract: From our review on sustainable EOQ inventory models, most researchers did not include carbon emission in the objective function or constraint. In this study, we enrich recent research by incorporating sustainability criteria into the inventory model. The study develops an EOQ model by considering carbon emission that comes from transportation and warehouse operations. Moreover, we also consider imperfect quality items and assume complete backordering. A numerical example has been provided and it is shown that our model results in a higher expected total profit per unit time.
