Abstract: The traditional method of energy consumption cost control for engineering projects is not satisfactory. This study proposes a method of energy consumption cost control for engineering projects based on the theory of building energy conservation. Through indirect expenditure of energy and actual expenditure of energy, the expenditure of energy in the construction stage is calculated. Based on the life cycle expenditure of energy model of a single project, a macro life cycle expenditure of energy model of the project is established. Based on the theory of building energy conservation, the hot air recycling technology is adopted to realise expenditure of energy and cost control. The experimental results show that this method is the closest to the actual value and can effectively control the expenditure of energy and cost of engineering projects.
