Research on the influence of RFID techniques on the intelligent SC performance

Abstract: To help manufacturing enterprises, properly use the radio frequency identification (i.e., RFID) technology on the solutions of intelligent supply chain (i.e., SC.), on the analysis of the manufacturing oriented intelligent SC performance and the analysis of the technology capability of RFID, the concept model and the research hypothesis are proposed. Then, on the basis of the questionnaire data, the structural equation model is constructed by AMOS software, and the research hypotheses are tested. The results show that the RFID should positively affect the intelligent SC performance by enhancing the intelligence of SC. Moreover, the three key indicators in the first-order dimension of the model are T2, SC3 and P1, rather than P1, SC1 and P2. This study can provide suggestions for enterprises to make investment decisions on RFID, and also provide some positive references for manufacturing enterprises to improve the intelligent SC performance.
