Abstract: In the present study, we conducted a primary survey to capture the knowledge, the views and attitudes of the principals of the Greek public schools in secondary education, on issues related to school administration, teachers' training and implementation of innovation. The results reflect the positive attitudes of the principals regarding teachers training through the implementation of educational actions and training seminars organized by the state. The school principals applaud the teachers' training mainly because it offers opportunities for professional development and updating on the content and principles of innovation and school administration. In addition, the principals believe that the integration of innovation in schools, in addition to being a socialisation factor of the students, helps towards the understanding of the terms and conditions that are formed because of the multiculturalism of the Greek school. Moreover the difficulties of implementing school innovation are revealed.
