Abstract: Previous literature has separated the philosophical link among motivational and supporting factors of entrepreneurial activities, and their contribution to entrepreneurship and employment creation. However, this fragmented approach does not capture some factors and leaves other connections unexplained. Therefore, the fundamental motivation of this study was to review the literature and sketch a new link between motivational and supporting factors, and entrepreneurial initiatives to better understand entrepreneurship and employment generation synthesis. We combined and integrated all of these factors in one common context based on a historical literature survey, using a novel approach by categorising the stated factors under micro-, meso- and macro-level entrepreneurships. This new perspective on the inter-relationships between motivational and supporting factors in creating new job opportunities at the micro-, meso- and macro-levels will unlock a new line of research which has the potential to significantly contribute to the literature.
