International Journal of Nanotechnology (IJNT), Vol. 3, No. 4, 2006

Abstract: The new application trend of the layered double hydroxides (LDH) is put forward in enzyme immobilisation and drug delivery. Of key importance, we review the intercalation of bio-active molecules into the LDH and their properties. We also describe the structure of LDH and their application in the traditional regions such as catalysis, ion exchange and hybrid of organic and inorganic molecules.
