Abstract: In construction industry, if the durability of the final product has to be improved and to minimise the maintenance cost, the quality of the construction process has to be improved. Six Sigma is one of the quality management tools which is used to minimise the probability of occurrence of defects and errors in the construction process, and it is carried out with the method called DMAIC methodology. But the Six Sigma has never been combined with the cost of the construction process, hence to bridge this research gap, a framework is developed by combining both the quality and cost of a construction process by DMAIC methodology which is a core tool of Six Sigma concept. Ultimately, feasible and economical solutions for the defects and errors that occurred in the existing structures will be obtained and it can be implemented in the new or ongoing projects.
