Abstract: WBAN is a boon to humanity that can track the physiological activities of humans irrespective of location and time. However, the major concerns about WBAN are the security and privacy of the health data. The health data should be secured to ensure prevention of misuse of data. On the other hand, the health data about the patient must reach the physician at the right time, without any delay. As security impact over the lives of human, an effective model named as SEKBAN (Secure Key Management in WBAN) is presented that concerns about security at three phases. This proposed approach ensures the security of the data by establishing keys based on the ECG signal.
