Abstract: We describe the transition of the meaning and significant concepts through their raising in the linguistic and their reformulation in the cognitive psychology. With these concepts, we show the Theory of the Conceptual Fields of Vergnaud, in order to theoretically understand and frame teaching problems that are common in the classroom. We exemplify the case of the one to one function, associating a suitable semantic field to it for the superior level of education.
