Abstract: An incineration plant is one of the most efficient techniques to cope with municipal solid waste and simultaneously a way to convert the waste into the energy. Undertaking site selection process is highly demanding to reach the outmost adjustability with the environment. Primarily, the authors of this paper deal with three main tasks: identifying the criteria in site selection, weighting the importance of the criteria, and choosing an appropriate multi-criteria model which fitted in with the study aims. After identifying multiple criteria, an integrated fuzzy logic and analytic network process were used to select a suitable place for incineration plant in Qazvin province. After calculating weight of the layers, the weights were implemented in ANP method. Weighted sum and fuzzy overlay methods were applied to overlay multiple layers. The results of this research revealed that fuzzy-ANP method provides more definite area in comparison with weighted sum-ANP. It was concluded that fuzzy-ANP technique may be an applicable model in incineration plant siting procedure.
