Abstract: The paper attempts a study on two stage formulation of a cost minimisation solid transportation problem, where the parameters are considered as rough interval form. A rough interval is based on approximation space and hence the solution of the proposed model obtained with the help of approximation theory. In order to solve the expected value model has been derived and the corresponding deterministic model so obtained is solved with LINGO 13.0 optimisation solver. Finally, the methodology and model is illustrated by simple numerical example at the last.
