A systematic literature review on sustainable logistics

Abstract: Sustainability has been a trending topic for researchers and the logistics have a major role for the sustainable operations and sustainable supply chain. However, the specific concept of sustainable logistics is still lacking studies and there is no systematising approach to unveil what have been produced under this particular concept. The objective of this study is to conduct a systematic literature review on the concept of sustainable logistics. The results indicate that there is still a need to address the specific concepts and three dimensions of sustainability in logistics. The paper contributes to researchers and professionals by pointing to future research in this field and synthetically presenting what has been produced under the concept of sustainable logistics.
